I repainted Tia, Astilbe, and both of Lisia's heads last week. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out! There are some areas I might have tried something different, and a few spots of stray pastels, but it's fine. I haven't quite decided on eyes for Tia yet. Luckily since she's blue, you can't quite see how yellow her resins are. It's disappointing because Oscar Doll was my favorite as a teenager and now I can hardly use them. Funny that these eyes are older than all of my current dolls.

I've been thinking that it's about time I give clothes to the rest of my honeybears, so I made a half bonnet for Tia instead. I was going through my small stack of GLBs for patterns that could reasonably be resized for dolls, and I was surprised how thematically specific they are. Maybe it's because I only have the later volumes, and they had already covered all of the possible basics. Anyway, there's a couple of patterns I want to try but should I feel like sewing again, I'll start with honeybears first maybe.
Also, I switched up the site's fonts. It makes loading inconvenient but since I'm the only one of two, maybe three people reading this, I don't mind at all! On my desparate search for a decent and affordable rounded semi-serif (I gave up), it occured to me that today, most font licensing exists because no one can imagine individuals using them for their own enjoyment. Why do I have to purchase starting at 10,000 monthly views, when I'd be lucky to get 10? It's like if you wanted to repaint your room but you could only buy paint in quantities to repaint every room in an apartment complex. I think that analogy makes sense. Point is it makes me a little sad! It makes me want to share my fonts and clean up so that they're actually useable but I probably won't.
