It seems my hobby has become finding places to store dolls. I picked up a toolbox from Maido specifically thinking it would be a good spot for dolls, so I finally got around to trying that out this week. First I made pockets, and I was going to leave it at that. But generally I don't think of this shade of green to be a very cute color, so I lined the top and bottom with colorful check to brighten it up a bit. I think I made it work.
As usual there are lots of things I might have done differently or better. I made the measurements of the pockets to fit five, for the lambs (not that I plan on ending up with that many...), but ended up with a little empty space, so I added a sixth pocket, and now it's just a little too crowded. I'd like to redo the top entirely since I just kind of got all the measurements wrong somehow. But sometimes it's better for things to just be done than be perfect. I want to give them little blankets and pillows too, but I think it's time to move on to my quarterly Kinoko Juice repainting, so I'll save it for later.
