Bonding to me is seeing your dolls as more than just objects. So I suppose I do bond with them but I don't really like that term.

Customizing!!! That's the reason I got into dolls to begin with. Fullsets are too limiting, and with the exception of niche skills that don't seem fun to learn, I want to do as much myself as I can.

Maybe 2012? Judging by my first DoA post it must have been before then but kids like to exaggerate and have no idea how time works so I'm really not sure. I doubt I really knew what they were before purchasing one though.

I would do anything less than donating an organ if Kinoko Juice needed it. But I like Volks too. I prefer Foveo over LUTS.

I've purchased things other than dolls from LUTS, but if "most" is measured by dollars, then Volks would be the winner. In any case neither of them is Kinoko Juice so no.

I don't think I could pick one because if I liked one that much I'd try to buy it. But I think Ringdoll has the most interesting fullset concepts compared to the dolls themselves. Their art director works hard!

Is there any doll you love that you would never buy?
Volks has really beautiful charity auction dolls but not only could I not spend that much on a doll even for charity, it would be too stressful to keep it pristine to ever play with it. I wouldn't say I love it, but Royal Senior Delf is such a fun idea that I just couldn't see myself buying.

A slightly chubbier yumetenshi SDGrG maybe in a fantasy color. Her face is a more mature Volks take on this panel of Maomao. Also it's a fullset and Kinoko Juice designed the outfit. She comes with a Honeybear dressed the same way. And somehow all of this just works.

Instead of buying a cheap first doll and cycling through my first few, I would have just got Bory like I wanted. I definitely don't want him anymore of course, so maybe nothing would have changed, but I should have just done it. To be honest, there is no point in trying to do this hobby "on a budget" because you end up spending more just trying to abide by it.
