Happy Halloween! I wish I had more to write about. This month has been quite eventful in good and bad ways! Mostly busy ways! And the semester is winding down, so that means final papers and projects will be due all at the same time as well. And not to mention end of the year festivities... don't talk to me about the election...
Anyway, me and my friends tried to do some seasonal activities this year. We tried finding a nice pumpkin patch or corn maze and, well, they don't really cater those sorts of things to adults unless they're attached to some haunted house. I remember in high school people would get excited for the local haunted house every year, it was supposedly a very good one. I'm not good with that sort of thing, though! I spent many Halloweens being terrorized by my older cousins, there's no way I would voluntarily put myself in that situation. Anyway I took Lemon Chiffon Cake to the closest pumpkinish patch we could find. I wanted to make her a witch costume but it didn't happen this year. Oh well!
I did get some sewing done though! I made a little shoulder bag. Originally, it was going to be a carrying case for Lemon Chiffon Cake, but I got a little tired after quilting the front flap, and the fabric didn't match the hardware I stole from one of my mom's old purses. So I used what I'd already sewn for something a little more general use. She fits inside this one, but I'll revisit my plan another day.
I like that I can comfortably fit my camera too! But I wouldn't risk both at the same time!!
The closure is drawstring! I want to replace the string, though.
With that project done, I'd like to get through the rest of my backlog. I've been stopping and starting building out the rest of Clow Card Fortune Telling and Resinpilled Dollcel but after fiddling with web dev for both school and work, it feels less like a creative outlet! I try to stay inspired though, and I want to keep working on things little by little. It's basically November already, so I'll have to keep this year's advent calendar in mind too! Many things to look forward to.
