I hope everyone had a very Eric? Devil's Night! Hat told me the watch the Crow last year but I didn't get around to it until just now. I should not have delayed it so long! It's a good tradition.
Last weekend one of my friends wanted to host a birthday party and bake a matcha cake, so me and another friend went shopping for baking and party supplies for her. We ended up finishing quicker than we expected, so afterwards she came to my place. She asked about Haupia and Pistachio so I let her see them and explained BJD just a little. Hopefully some day she can be a subscriber to fran hat's doll newsletter. Since the weather was cold enough for it, we got udon together, and then we then headed to the party. The cake could have been a litte more elegant, but we had limited utensils and counter space...we tried our best!
While we were out shopping for supplies though, I found screw closures in the beading aisle. I started sewing a camera stap a while ago, since the strap I used to use for it went to my Instax Wide instead, as the older Instax models are quite heavy and tiring to carry. I wasn't able to finish assembling it because I didn't have the appropriate hardware. and even if I did, I didn't have triangle jump rings to attach it. But luckily the screw closures worked perfectly as a substitute, so I finished putting it together. Well, I don't expect it to last forever but I've really been wanting to practice photography more in general, and now I can comfortably take it outside. Today's Haupia is from indoor shooting but I'll get around to taking her out.
