I'm not really sure what my concept of time is these days. I wake up. I work. I commute to school. I work. I come home. I stay up too late. I sleep. But actually, I like going outside. I like having a destination and things to do. And I like coming home exhausted because I know I didn't waste my day doing nothing. Of course I will complain about the inconvenience of doing all of this but I think it's better to have manageable problems than none at all.
Well, I say that, but I've actually just recovered from a string of bad luck. The worst of it was the post losing my mom's birthday gift that I mailed to her. Luckily it was recovered after about a week. It hasn't reached her yet but my hope is that in writing it I will manifest it reaching her safely with no more hiccups.
For more successful package delivery, I recently received a plush I commissioned from a good friend of mine! My baby-sized pony. My baby Velvet. She's in the style of Japan-exclusive My Little Ponies produced in the 80's. These ponies never made it to the States, but their cuteness will live on in Velvet. She also sent me some Bella Sara cards, we split a box.
Despite my namesake I was never a full-fledged horse girl, but I was very much a fan of Bella Sara as a kid. I had quite a card collection! I have no idea where they went though. The fate of most of my childhood belongings was to be passed to someone younger than me, so I can only assume the cards were no exception. But I spent a lot of time taking care of my virtual horses. The fantasy horses had more exciting stables than the normal horses, so I liked pegasi and merhorses best. These cards weren't so common in the earlier series. It's incredibly nostalgic to rip open a card pack again. Some of the enthusiasm is lost from the experience as I can't redeem my cards for horseshoes on a defunct site, but the memories are nice. I'm going to take duplicates to the card store and see if I can trade for Grusha.
