Earlier this month I had the opportunity to get to go see the cherry blossoms this year! I don't particularly like airplanes, but I do like to travel. The local seasonal varieties here have also bloomed, and sometimes it's fun to pretend the pink evening primroses are just very short sakura. There are way more than usual this year, it seems!

My luck also extended to winning the recent POWDER lottery! It's my superstition to not pretend I own a doll before it's actually arrived, but I really can't help it. I've been playing with my little lambs a lot these days, and I regret not taking a nicer camera and Ruby to take photos underneath the cherry blossoms! But I've been thinking, can POWDER be a lamb instead if I remove the horn? While the weather is nice I think I'll give Tia and Pumila's faceups another go before I put them up on the half-finished collection page since I'm not happy with how any of their photos have turned out.

I changed the site design a little. The theme is garden picnic. I've been wanting to make it cozier, and I've been playing with left-aligning everything for a while. I think the whitespace is a little more balanced now! I'm happier to not have to do weird flexbox maths to keep the main content perfectly centered without choking the sidenav at smaller screen sizes. But please let me know your thoughts if you have them!

Lastly, files from the harddrive from my first laptop was mostly rescued thanks to hat's very helpful help. Not everything could be revived, but I found quite a bit. Overall it was very nostalgic. I still have my laptop from late high school and most of college too, but it's harder to take apart, so I haven't tried that one yet. I imagine I was a little more thorough about deleting the old stuff and keeping the important stuff, but I'll have to see!
