Lots of slow, very slow, so slow I can't be bothered to update the update log, but steady website updates these days! I'm working on updating the doll collection page (so much for an easy early win on my doll goals!!!), but when I went to take photos in the garden, there were these weird red bugs!! What is this?! Also, I am still so so unsatisfied with Sascha's wig. It's these little details that get in the way and make me take forever to finish anything because I just can't move on until they're properly addressed!

A while ago I was looking for Japanese variety to try and watching Wednesday Downtown eventually lead me to Jimmy: The True Story of a True Idiot, which is a biographical drama(?) mostly about Jimmy Onishi, but I suppose the comedy scene in Osaka in the 80s in general. Though...I wonder if it's ok to laugh at someone who is very obviously on some kind of spectrum and kind of a menace to society? Some of the humor was lost on me or just plainly unfunny but I'm sure it was period accurate and I did appreciate some of the visual gags. Well, for comedy in general I'm especially a fan of absurdist humor. Not the lol so random *holds up spork* xD type obviously, but to me there is little difference between something being unexpected and something being funny. I have a habit of lying to my friends not because I'm actually trying to fool them or expect them to believe me, but because the idea of something so obviously false somehow being true is peak comedy to me. They've all quickly learned to ignore not only all of my jokes but most of what I say. It's fine because I almost get more enjoyment from seeing their expressions of mild annoyance anyway, because it means I've still won. Overall it was an interesting watch and I guess I enjoyed it.
