I gave Maple a new faceup over the last couple of days. I really should not do them at night but I've wanted to redo it for some months, and the weather was good enough. I'm still debating on doing Sascha's too, I don't mind the default face, it's just a little too dramatic for him. The tweaks I want can't be made by just painting over. My abilities aren't at the level of standard Volks yet, and painting minis and tinies is way different than larger heads. But I think Maple's faceup turned out pretty good this time. I went for a more serene expression, but it's still very red! It's an improvement over her first. I think symmetry will always be my enemy.

I recently watched Para Para: The Movie, which is basically an hour of Nyan Neko Sugar Girls. It's a masterful homage to early 2010s fanime, but my main complaint is that the lines are read too confidently. The voice actresses should have pretended that they were afraid of waking up their parents sleeping in the next room, as that would have been much more period accurate than stitled whining. Some of the visual humor relied a little too heavily on cameos and references but I could tell that Sillypoo had a lot of fun so I will forgive it. And it still had me in stitches. It's truly a masterpiece, and I highly recommend it to everyone. Except for minors, because despite it not being not age restricted, some parts are probably not suitable for children, including those between the ages of 16 and 17. I sincerely hope para para makes a comeback. I don't go clubbing, but in the era of T*kt%k, dancing these days is just moving your arms anyway, right? I think I can still manage Night of Fire. I'm ready.
