I finally caught Covid last week. It turns out that licking bus windows and handrailings is occasionally a risky hobby. I'm a little disappointed since I was doing so well, but I guess with these sorts of things it's really much better to be behind on the trend because I'd much rather deal with a mild flu for a couple of days instead of potentially being hospitalized. Being sick really sucks though! I'm taking the GRE soon and it's nearly impossible to study in that state, so at least timing has worked out where I don't have to worry about trying to reschedule. I'm glad to be feeling a little better but I still took off from work lol

I was a little bored just resting so I spent some time doing the things I usually only get so far as thinking about. For one, I've been sitting on a pile of craft wood for a while. In my student days, I mostly used it for prototyping but it's kind of fun to work with. Well, it's humid and the pieces are thin so most of the wood was a little warped, the whole thing is kind of garbage if I'm being honest, but I made a 1:3 scale bed anyway. I mean, the Boy's Dormitory set comes with pillows and a blanket, how can I not?! I made it just big enough for two larger dolls for.......reasons. I was able to use up just about all of the wood, though I didn't have quite enough to make enough slats(?) for the bottom. I might use cardboard for the bottom instead though since I really have no idea if it will support the weight of a doll at all. My cat has already taken an interest, so when dolls aren't using it, he can have it. That way I won't have to worry about storing it either.

Since I was able to recover some files with the help of an old friend, I also updated the Time Machine page. I really can't even guage how terminally online I was/am anymore since despite how much I used/use the internet, it seems I've been able to avoid the worst of the side effects that usually come with that. I still don't think that children should share online spaces with adults without several walls in between (for the benefit of both), but if it's going to be that way, then it's much better for it to be communities that require you to actually contribute and create in order to be a member. Maybe that's good gatekeeping for everyone. So on that note, I've noticed some others on Neocities really struggling with making a responsive site. It's very easy, just use percentages or vw instead of pixels or points for your box widths. If it has to be a fixed size, consider min-width and/or max-width instead of width. It might not be perfect for mobile, and it doesn't need to be, but it's something you'll never learn if you just copy and paste all of your code so please try it. I promise you can do it.
