#21I changed the colors of the layout a little for various reasons but mostly because I wanted pink links on hover and it was an eyesore on the blue I was using before. Next time I will just stick to a white/offwhite background for text, there is no reason to try to do something different and all I've done is inconvenience myself.
I recently learned that one of my friends started her own Artist's Way journey a while back. It just never came up in covnersation because it's something you do privately if you're not doing it with a group. Well, I've been making a conscious effort to make more time to try the things I want to try and be more aware of it. I'm not very spiritual, but I can't help but place some significance in the same words and sounds and themes that keep showing up again in again in everyday life. There is no such thing as a coincidence or whatever. For example, I'm crying over the fact that I will never own neon green yamanba Kiki, so that means it's time for Astible and Chouquette's quarterly repaints. Mostly because I really liked what hat did with Praline. But it's just been too rainy! I've taken my chances with covered balconies, garages, and just umbrellas before and I already know it's foolish because the issue is not as much the rain as it is the humidity. And also the rain. But another week of this and I'll take it as a sign from the universe that I should try one of those options again. Never use spray sealant or paint indoors, you only get one set of lungs.
Also, who told the food packaging industry that if you make the bottles thinner instead of shorter, no one will be able to see that they're smaller when they're lined up on the shelf at the store?! My go-to vegetable oil is a whole 8 ounces less than it was a few months ago, it actually feels lighter. Also, I haven't been able to find furikake in MONTHS. Not in any store, not even the regionally-stocked chains. Not the little to-go packets. Not in any flavor, not even wasabi, which I actually like quite a bit. It's all gone, I've had to settle for a non-optimal ratio of seaweed and/or seasame seed, rice time is ruined yet again.
Anyway I've made new plans to make up for all of my cancelled ones so I'm looking forward to looking forward to things more exciting than angry grocery shopping.
